Sex Doll Cleaning & Care Guide

Proper cleaning and storage will help keep your doll hygienic, protect its skin, and extend its lifespan. Care requirements may vary between TPE and silicone dolls, so always follow the manufacturer’s instructions provided with your doll.

Cleaning After Use

  • Clean After Every Use: Clean all areas that have been in contact with bodily fluids or lubricant, especially the vaginal, anal, and oral areas.
  • Use Mild Soap & Warm Water: Use warm water with a mild, fragrance-free soap or a cleaner specifically designed for TPE or silicone dolls. Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach, alcohol-based cleaners, and abrasive products.
  • Rinse Thoroughly: Make sure all soap and cleaning residue is completely removed.
  • Dry Completely: Gently pat the surface dry with a soft, lint-free towel. Allow internal cavities to air-dry completely before storage.
  • Removable Inserts: If your doll has a removable vagina or other removable insert, take it out and clean and dry it separately.

TPE & Silicone Skin Care

TPE Dolls

TPE is soft and flexible but requires a little more maintenance than silicone.

  • Once the skin is completely clean and dry, apply a light layer of TPE-safe renewal powder or manufacturer-recommended powder when needed.
  • Powdering can help maintain a smooth, silky feel and reduce surface tackiness.
  • Avoid excessive oil, petroleum-based products, alcohol, and other chemicals unless specifically approved by the manufacturer.

Keep TPE Skin Soft & Smooth

Silicone Dolls

Silicone generally requires less powdering than TPE.

  • Keep the skin clean and completely dry before storage.
  • Do not routinely apply powder, oil, or other treatments unless recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Avoid harsh solvents, alcohol-based products, and abrasive cleaners that may damage the surface or body makeup.

Storage Guidelines

  • Store in a Neutral Position: For long-term storage, lay your doll flat in a relaxed position or use a suitable hanging system if the manufacturer confirms that hanging is supported.
  • Avoid Prolonged Pressure: Do not leave the doll sitting, kneeling, or compressed in the same position for long periods. Continuous pressure may cause dents or deformation.
  • Keep Cool & Dry: Store your doll away from direct sunlight, heaters, excessive humidity, and extreme temperatures.
  • Protect the Skin: Use a clean, soft, light-colored blanket, original packaging material, or other non-abrasive surface between the doll and its surroundings.
  • Avoid Dark Fabrics: Dark or strongly dyed clothing and fabrics may transfer color to TPE or silicone skin. Wash new clothing first and test it on a small, hidden area when possible.
  • Keep Away From Sharp Objects: Jewelry, zippers, rough surfaces, and sharp objects can scratch, puncture, or tear the skin.

Head, Skeleton & Joint Care

  • Do Not Submerge the Head: Unless specifically designed to be waterproof, avoid submerging the head in water. Water may damage makeup, implanted hair, electronics, or internal components.
  • Protect the Neck Connector: When removing or installing the head, support it properly and avoid forcing or cross-threading the connector.
  • Move Joints Gently: Never force a joint beyond its natural range of motion. Support heavy body parts when repositioning the doll.
  • Avoid Excessive Standing: If your doll has standing feet, follow the manufacturer’s instructions and avoid leaving it standing unsupported for extended periods.

Important Care Notes

  • Always use lubricants compatible with your doll’s material. When in doubt, a high-quality water-based lubricant is generally the safest choice.
  • Never use bleach, strong disinfectants, alcohol, acetone, or abrasive cleaners on the skin unless specifically approved by the manufacturer.
  • Do not store the doll while it is damp. Trapped moisture may cause odor, staining, or hygiene problems.
  • Be especially careful with body makeup, painted details, implanted hair, eyelashes, fingernails, and other delicate features.
  • Care requirements can vary by brand, material, and optional features. The manufacturer’s care instructions should always take priority over general guidance.
